Answers. If you have tried to reinstall the touchpad drivers then you can try to press the Fn+F7 button together in your keyboard to check if that makes any difference with the touchpad. Hope it will help you in some way. @ragsak28 tried it. No help.
Thank you! Right-click Intel Serial IO I2C Host controller-9D60 and select Properties, then uninstall the driver, reboot and let Windows install the driver and see whether it helps. thanks again for your reply. I did that too but i think windows is not auto installing the driver.

I looked up my laptop on acer.com, downloaded the touchpad driver listed, and installed it. The setup was completed and the status was listed as "ready to use". I rebooted, but my touchpad still didn't work. Looking further, I noticed that inside the "Touchpad_Synaptics_19.0.7.34_W10x64_A" folder there was a file called "SynRMIHID.sys" BIOS Menu:

In the "Install From Disk" window that appears, click the "Browse" button. Navigate to the temporary folder where you extracted the Synaptics or ELAN Precision Touchpad drivers. Select the "Autorun.inf" file in that folder, and then click the "Open" button. Click "OK" afterwards. a99cRp.
